" Cherry and plum flavors are singed by mushroom, tamari and wet earth notes in this broad-shouldered, burly red. There is sweetness at the core,necessary to balance the dense, dusty tannins. Remains fresh and should develop well. Best from 2019 through 2033. 300 cases made. (Jun 30, 2016)

" Very earthy , meaty, decadent aromas with ripe cherries as well. Full body, round and soft tannins and a flavorful finish. Very drinkable now ( 7 March 2016).

" The nose here is reminiscent of Christmas with interesting aromas of nuts, holly and mince pies. This is lovely and dense on the palate with fine and powering tannins and a long finish. A late-release Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, but this could still do with three or four more years in bottle to soften the tannins. ( 20 Oct 2014)".

" I tasted this twice in Montalcino this year and marcello Bucci's wine impressed on both occasions. Sourced from four separate southerly vineyards planted over seven hectares. Pale in colour, this is a comparatively fresh style, partly becauseof the altitude of the vineyards, with silky tannins, flavours of tea leaves and succulent red fruits, a hint of reduction and a long, chalky aftertaste. I love the poise and balance of this estate's wines".

" Good full red. Redcurrant, plum and black tea on the nose, complemented by sexy oak spice. Broad, lush and sweet, showing an almost exotic high-toned quality to the perfumed flavors of balsamic dark cherry and sweet spices. Very sound acidity gives the wine shape and balance. Finishes impressively sweet, broad and horizontal, with creamy ripe tannins and lingering balsamic perfume".
